Nerve hydrodecompression
This is one of the most precise and effective procedures we perform at MediSea. Nerve hydrodecompression involves relieving pressure on a compressed nerve (e.g., the median nerve in carpal tunnel syndrome) by injecting fluid—usually saline with medication or plasma—directly around the nerve under ultrasound guidance.
The procedure takes about 15 minutes, is performed under local anesthesia, and does not require skin incisions or hospitalization. The patient is discharged the same day.
Who is it for?
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Compression of the ulnar, median, or radial nerve
- Numbness, tingling, and weakness in the upper limb
- Neuralgia and compression-related pain in individuals doing physical or office work
Why is it worth it?
- It is an alternative to traditional surgery
- No stitches and no recovery time
- Results often noticeable after just one treatment
- The procedure is available only in selected centers – MediSea is one of the few places in Western Pomerania where we perform hydrodecompression
